From your description it sounds like your hard drive has failed or at least as a minimum needs re-seating. This of course is repairable, if you need it looking at for you drop me a message or phone details are in this post.

Hi my computer crashed and now has clicking noise. Can get blue screen but no Sony logo appears. Tried using recovery disc but cannot start it! Any help or advice appreciated.
