Is it an x5 or an x5 mini? They are different beasts! Not booting at all is uncommon. Are you sure that you are selecting the correct source on your TV? Look at the port that you are plugging the HDMI lead into your TV with and make a note of the number, (1, 2 or 3).
Ensure you have the correct source selected on your TV remote.
I know that this sounds obvious but is worth checking first.

I have a new Minix Neo X5 that will not boot up,the red power light flashes twice repeatedly but thats it, i have tried a reset with no luck, any ideas anybody ?   :head
