thanks for comments so far yes they are circular tungsten tipped blades so need a specialist to sharpen them  ;)

Hi - we haven't found anyone locally, but the ferreteria at Aguilas (on the site of the original Intermarche shop - from the roundabout on the junction between the main road to Lorca and the town centre - about half a mile on your left by the rambla bridge) sells a machine that will do it - about 75 euros???.    Sorry, don't know of anywhere nearer - so would like to hear from others.   :tiphat:
