Hello,
Would any of you happen to know where I can get hold of a v8 engine (points), gearbox and propshaft?
Also, anyone locally who would carry out this conversion on an old Consul.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Could be very expensive for you. You would need to revamp the rear end to get the power on the road and then you have to get it to stop when you want. Then you would have a hot rod, not a classic. You can put a Rover V8 in an MGB and get the parts off the shelf

Hi I've got 35 years of hotrod building.
Please call me for a free chat if your still looking for tech help or more.  Fitted more v8's than I care to remember.
