We are hoping that a mobile sterilising unit will be visiting the area to spay/neuter as many dogs and cats as possible within the week of their stay. This is a team of fully qualified vets that travel to many countries in order to help control the ever growing population of street dogs & cats, within the last few months they visited Romania where they operated on over 900 animals with a 100% success rate.

The coordinator arrives in the area on the 12th to put together their route and book animals in if you would like to take advantage of this service either as an individual or a rescue please contact John Moody on mooinespana@yahoo.co.uk.

Operations are done at cost and the surgery is carried out using the keyhole method so it has less impact on the animals recovery and as soon as they come round they can rest up that day and if necessary be released back onto the streets the following day.

Until we have the figures for the amount of animals involved it's difficult to get an accurate price but it is done at cost so it's worth considering having just paid 185 € for one of my own dogs to be spayed.
