Sorry Wooster, I have re read your post, and have seen the name. :)

Val Keith

Wooster, that sounds delicious, what is the name of the restaurant please.

Wooster

aku aku, a beachfront restaurant on Mojacar playa does a fab paella with black pudding and lobster, literally lobbed on top. Min 2 persons, it was €19 per person. It was fab. You need to pre-order but they have all kinds of gorgeous paella. Sunday lunchtime, Spanish families congregate there, so booking & pre-order of paella is essential.

Have to agree with Lisa and Lynne, all the restaruants are good but very expensive.

La trampa/ Meson Pescador...we have been eating there for over 16 years...

We've been ripped off a couple of times so no longer eat near the port area.
You can't always control who walks into your life...but you CAN control which window you throw them out of.

Sadly most of the restaurants around the port area of Garrucha are vastly overpriced and the quality is highly variable

There is an evening market at the far end of the promenade towards the exit to Mojaca.  Or there is the evening charity market near the back of the water park in Vera Playa which is very good lots of diffrent stalls there.
Various fish restaurants along the promenade but they usually sell Garrucha prawns or the catch of the day can't say I've ever seen lobster on offer.  Not cheap either.
