Yes my Brabantia still going strong after 5 years in UK & nearly 6 here but I do put a Rotary cover on it at all times when not in use to protect it from the Elements.

Had a Brabantia in UK for 20 years before moved here.  Brought a new Brabantia over with me 8 years ago as I didn't know if I could get one here.  After 18 months the cables started snapping, then the whole replacement cables broke after about another year.  The whole thing fell apart after about another year. Bought two cheap ones which lasted six months between them. Bought a Hills Australian Rotary online almost four years ago - ten year warranty and worth every penny!  Massive, strong,  solid thing, best thing I ever bought in my life! Costs more but will work out less over ten years than the other three cost in four years. Now available on Amazon.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most

Have to agree John - we bought our Brabantia (at an eye-watering price) about 6 years ago and it's still as good as new.  My daughter's is over 10 years old and still going strong in the UK.  Previously tried a cheaper one from Longo's and it just about lasted a year.    :tiphat:

We bought a cheaper one out of Longo, about 50-60 euros, but it was a case of penny wise pound foolish,  only lasted about 6 weeks.
Got the proper Brabantia from the fereteria just up from El Curro in Albox. Twice the price but still as good as new 12 months on.
