ARBOLEAS URBAN WORKS AND 2015 BUDGET

People will have seen a large amount of urban works being carried out around the town.
The rock walls and the creation of a pavement and cycle track on the access to the town.
The work in front of the medical centre.
The extensive works in El Chopo, to control future flooding and to provide a pavement.
The new children's playground near the town hall.

All this work is being carried out by PFEA (unemployed workers scheme) and the youth employment initiative, plus the grant from Madrid for flood control measures.
Although these projects are under the supervision of the Town Hall, and we have the funds as a result of projects proposed by the Town Hall, there are regulations about which type of project can be authorized under these schemes.

Today we approved the 2015 budget, the opposition councilors abstaining.
This provides 1,500,000 euros for new urban works to be paid for by the Ayuntamiento, for which we will have control.
This will allow us to make improvements in the various barriadas, such as street lighting, sewage works and tarmacing.

I am currently preparing the detailed report of the 2015 budget which I will publish in the next few days.
