My friend and her hubby were born in N Ireland but spent much of their working lives in IOM - now they are retirement age and live in Spain they get health care as we did being English , don't know if that's anything to do with IOM or the fact that they are British - bit of useless information that really  :lol: :lol: :lol:

As Crown dependencies they are not technically members of the EU, but because the British Government is responsible for their defence and other matters they are regarded as part of the UK under the Accession Treaty. There are a few minor EU regulations they can opt-out from.

Just wondered if we have any IOM , channel island folks living in the area,ie non EU  citzs,whom could tell us possibly to be " EU  exiles" how you go on for medical,stay periods allowed or any special arrangments your governments have done with spain to allow you free movment.
