Thanks folks.
Funnily enough my dearest hubby came up with the pool pole and a notch solution all on his own!!!!
Looks like he might have saved me some money!

Hi, I got them to make two for me at Longos and they weren't too expensive.  They have some very long wooden poles and the young man in there who speaks English  put an indent in them at one end and sort of spiked the other end so it stays in the ground.  Hope this helps.

The Betterware or Bakewear people who drop off the catalogues, not cheap but the only ones I have seen.  Used an old aluminium pool brush pole with a notch in the top, perfect knock up!
