The mayor of Zurgena, Candido Trabalon faces a penalty of eight months in prison and seven years disbarment from public employment or public office for an alleged crime against the Planning laws and another for prevarication involving the construction of a development of 14 family homes in the area of Los Llanos del Peral in 2005, according to the prosecutors charges to which Diario de Almeria has had access.

Also facing charges, in a case that will be heard in one week's time in Criminal Court Number 2 in Almeria from the 16 of May, are members of the municipal corporation. Amongst them the ex-councillor for Planning, Manuel Tijeras, and those deemed legally responsible for the promoter Tisan Sureste SL and the constructor Tragarcia SL.

The Prosecutor is asking for two year in prison for the representatives of the companies as well as a fine for an alleged crime of continued prevarication. For the rest of the council members the prosecutor demands the same penalties as Candido Trabalon for alleged crimes of prevarication and planning crimes.

The prosecutor is also asking for the demolition of the development of 14 houses in the area of Los Llanos del Peral in Zurgena.

The denuncia was presented to the Prosecutors Office alter an inspection by the regional police force.
