   TOURISM.

   MANAGEMENT REPORT PSOE 2007-2011

   The change that our country has experienced in recent years has been primarily by converting the image of Arboleas as a tourist destination, especially for residential tourism.

   But we are also a tourist destination together with all the Almanzora valley in the new domestic tourism that is increasingly on the rise. To implement all this new economic model has been necessary to undertake a series of actions, and others that will come later placing us increasingly in the domestic market destinations, and also preserve the image of our people, adapting its services and attractions.

   Among the actions carried out:

    * Promotion and distribution of Arboleas as a tourist destination in the Almanzora valley. Participation of the first tourism plan for the Almanzora Valley, with the Ministry of Tourism.
    * Construction of General Interpretation Centre Almanzora Valley and operation.

    * Construction and operation of the Municipal Tourist Office.

    * Construction Limaria viewpoint.

    * Design and marking of tourist routes.
    * Participation in promotional tourism fairs.

   While work continues on the private level tourism initiative pipeline restoration and new cases of accommodation, subsidized by the Rural Development program Proder Almanzora

    THE FUTURE:

   Recovery of railway track (6.7 km) as a "greenway" along with other municipalities in the Valle del Almanzora in a common project to make this a tourist attraction and Biosalud with bike lanes and walking.

   INFORME DE GESTIÓN PSOE 2007-2011

   El cambio que nuestro pueblo ha experimentado en los últimos años ha pasado sobre todo por la conversión de la imagen de Arboleas como un destino turístico, sobre todo para el turismo residencial.

   Pero también somos destino turístico junto a todo el Valle del Almanzora para ese nuevo turismo de interior que está cada vez más en auge. Para poner en marcha todo este nuevo modelo de economía ha sido necesario emprender una serie de acciones, y otras que vendrán mas adelante que nos sitúan cada vez mas en el mercado de destinos de interior, y a la vez cuidar la imagen de nuestro pueblo, adaptando sus servicios y sus lugares de interés.

   Entre las acciones llevadas a cabo:


   *Fomento y difusión de de Arboleas como destino turístico dentro del valle del Almanzora. Participación del primer plan turístico para el Almanzora, de la consejería de Turismo.
   *Construcción del Centro de Interpretación General del Valle del Almanzora y puesta en funcionamiento.
   *Construcción y puesta en funcionamiento de la oficina Municipal de Turismo.
   * Construcción del mirador de Limaria.
   *diseño y señalización de rutas turísticas.
   *participación en ferias turísticas de promoción.

   Al mismo tiempo se continúa trabajando respecto a la iniciativa turística a nivel privado tramitando nuevos expedientes de restauración y alojamientos, subvencionados por el programa de Desarrollo Rural Proder Almanzora.

    EL FUTURO:
   Recuperación del trazado del ferrocarril (6,7Km) como "Vía Verde", junto a los demás municipios del Valle del Almanzora en un proyecto común, para hacer de está un atractivo turístico y  bíosaludable con carriles bici y de paseo.
