The answer is probably YES.

We reported proceedings on the 3rd of July involving houses in Llanos del Peral but that was a different promoter. See http://www.almanzora-au.org/recent_news.php for 3rd July.

Developers also accused in latest corruption case

By Richard Torné

EIGHT councillors, including the mayor, and two developers are facing new planning corruption charges in Zurgena, according to reports.

Those accused include mayor Cándido Trabalón, the town planning councillor, Manuel Tijeras - both from the Partido Andalucista party (PA) - as well as three opposition councillors, the administrator of Procosona/ Almería Estates, Pedro Soto Carrillo, and a builder, Francisco Martínez Alpachar.

All are facing charges linked to the illegal construction of five properties on non-urban land in the district of Llanos del Peral. The two former opposition councillors were named as socialists Juan Morales and José Antonio Ramos, in addition to José Juan Sánchez, from the right-wing Partido Popular (PP) party. There are also three ruling PA councillors among the accused.

The construction of the properties was approved at a plenary meeting in February 2006, and the villas were reportedly sold off-plan to British families.
