R I P Stephen a brilliant man battling a most terrible  condition .

A brilliant mind indeed. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that A Brief History of Time made my head ache when it came out. Being bloody minded I eventually got to the end but can't honestly say that I was capable of following a lot of it. His Universe in a Nutshell was much easier to follow and encouraged me to revisit the first book.

After all this time, with much more reading behind me, I still feel thick when considering his works...

A great man who, sadly, didn't live long enough to see validation of enough of his work to receive what would have been a richly deserved Nobel Prize.

Giant intellect, brilliant scientist RIP. You beat the odds to reach 76 and despite severe disability changed the universe and how we see it.
