oil or gas fired central heating

In my humble opinion oil, far cheaper to run had mine fitted last year. I was using two normal gas bottles every three days so converted to oil, use about 1200 litres a year runs hot water and rads, best to buy oil in summer tends to be a bit cheaper

Hi looking for some advice. Which is better re costs, gas or oil and which is less hassle re maintenance.
