Yes it is. You can us a 3G router which connects to the internet via a mobile phone SIM card. Your tablet connects to the router.
These routers are around 50€. Pop along to Los Llanos market on Saturday and I can show you one.

I have a samsung galaxy 4 tablet, a few years old now but no problems. I don't have a smart phone and don't want one. Is it possible to connect a tablet to the internet anywhere away from home, I mean not using other people's systems, say out in the middle of the countryside.
