To make things easier i thought that when very well meaning members put up a post offering support to someone on the forum and that support is either unwelcome or unwanted  then  perhaps  if the person receiving the support thinks is not wanted or not necessary perhaps they could post or have a member do it for them or pm the person offering support to say  thanks but i dont need support and i for one would cease instantly.
This might save a lot of unwelcome posts by well meaning people including myself.
i will be very slow in future before offering support to anyone whether its needed or not.
