Forum full screen on iPad?

My screen looks like that as well.  To be honest I can't say that I had noticed the blue space down the right side, but the top advertising banners spread the whole width of the screen so it does not look as if it has been minimised.  Could be too many adverts.

Can anybody advise how I can get the Forum to show as Full Screen when I'm using an iPad or iPad mini ?    This has not always been the case so I suspect it mat be my fumble finger effort in a setting somewhere!
