Apricot Tree

Hi, I have had an apricot tree producing good crops for 7 years. This year nothing appeared a closer examination showed a mass of tiny beetle larvae holes on the branches, the tree is now dead. https://www.starkbros.com/growing-guide/how-to-grow/fruit-trees/apricot-trees/pest-and-disease-control

We planted our Apricot tree, we had two apricots first year, thirty second year.
Noting this year, we have leaves on the trunk, on the top just bare branches.
What are we doing wrong?
