Wasps around pool

I have a wasp trap that I bought in UK it works a treat, they sell them in Longos now.

surly by putting sweet water or jam to keep them away from pool is only feeding them so they make their nests even bigger and make more and more wasps...you will end up needing a horse trough to keep feeding them..

Being inundated with wasps around and in the pool, can't find any nests anywhere, does anyone know how to keep them away from the water?
