Aljambra Flower Festival 26th to 28th May 2017

What a magnificent weekend with over 40 floral arrangements displayed, some done by individuals, some representing local clubs and associations and some sponsored by local businesses both Spanish and British.   It was so good to see so many people wandering around the little Chapel in the Village of Aljambra which has been used by the Anglican Church for 10 years now.     Saturday morning saw the arrival of 18 or so Classic cars with their drivers who were happy to show their vehicles to all who were interested and what a spectical they were.     Pictures of the weekend event can be viewed at the Church's website  www.mojacarchurch.org   The weekend's celebrations were brought to a close with an open air Service of Thanksgiving on Sunday evening in the Village Square for the 10 years that the Anglican Church have been holding services in this area.     (Other places of Anglican worship are at the Church of San Pascal,Mojacar and at the Village Community Hall in Llanos del Peral.).   Big thank you to all who helped make this event the great big success that it was.

Don't miss the Aljambra Flower Festival, which is being held at Aljambra Chapel from Friday 26th May until Sunday 28th May.

Around 50 Floral displays will be on view, with light refreshments available and a display of Classic Cars on Saturday 27th, as well as a number of Market stalls on Friday and Saturday Afternoons.

Opening times are as follows:
Friday     26th May  3.00 p.m. until 8.00 p.m.
Saturday 27th May 10.00 a.m. until 8.00 p.m., with Classic Cars on show between 10.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m.
Sunday   28th May   3.00 p.m. until 8.00 p.m., with a 30 minute open-air Thanksgiving Service of 'Songs of Praise' commencing at 6.00 p.m., which will be followed by announcement of the successful bidders in the silent auction of many of the floral displays
