Roger

What you are saying is just not correct.

Roger

You should check the legal and contractual facts before making this statement.

Any legal obligation expires after 4 years, and when we took office it was too late to demand back taxes for pools or the cost of unfinished infrastructure.
These requirements were not included in any licences issued in the past and could not be back dated.

Issuing of contracts are covered by law. You cannot refuse a contract to build a house if all the documents are in order just because the builder did not install sewage pipes for another house 5 or more years ago.

You seem to think that the local councils has dictatorial powers.

Monkee

Zilnor,
Agreement with the corruption.    money lined many pockets.  Left a massive  mess for the present town hall incumbents,
and a nightmare for the 291 illegal homes  still waiting for innovation 14.

zilnor

Monkey,
In one word, corruption.

Monkee

The 8 million Roger,  why was it not collected  from the Builders when the properties were being constructed?   Did the Town Halls overlook the  charges.      It is not the fault of the purchasers that Licences were not issued, or roads were not built, or Pozos installed.    Most people bought in good faith, and obviously paid over the odds for their properties.  Thanks to the  lax town halls at the time. who allowed building to happen.

Roger

Funny thing is that when we all bought our houses many years ago no-one asked about sewers.
We all knew we had pozos because that was the norm in this area.
The builders were happy to build the houses on the cheap and everyone was happy to pay for their houses without completed infrastructure.
Now everyone is demanding connection to sewers, as well as tarmac roads and street lights.
The Town Hall is working to get everyone connected and to complete unfinished infrastructure.
But it will take many years and cost many millions to get every house in every barriada connected.
The problem is that we do not have the estimated 8 million which should have come to the Town Hall in licence fees during the building boom.

Funny, no replies, but Roger is obviously too busy working on the Los Brexit area. :41:

Given the common sence he has come out with on the subject....he would certainly be a good assett to PM May at the moment,

as  for Arboleas as Malcolm says just pop in the town hall,up the stairs first office in the right, folks might as well start now to get used to not having Brits on the council from May 2019,ie dealing direct wit the Mayor.

More likely because he has answered this question many times. You can find the Town Hall above the church in Arboleas for up the minute information. No need for appointment you just need to go there and they will tell you all you need to know.

And the same question for La Cueva?

johnhc

Same question for Los Garcias?

AnnieR

Is there any news on the sewage works to serve Los Menchones/Las Golondrinas?

We were told that the funding was there and that work would start after Christmas, but still no sign of anything happening.
