Thanks Andaluz,
Yes it is great that something discarded can be put to good use and that will help someone else.  :72:

We had a great day at the mercado primavera yesterday. We had a couple of laptops donated on the day, and promises of more laptops, towers and computer related item to be brought in over the next couple of weeks. We also had several cash donations which of course help us out when haviing to buy replacement parts when required.

The market was fabulous and was HEAVING all day and we are very grateful to la ayuntamiento de Zurgena for donating the stall to us. We were the only English stall there so it was also a huge honour.

A big thank you goes out to all who donated or intend to donate, and also to all the unpaid dedicated and hard-working PIRdA helpers.  :c017: Without them we could not do what we do! So if there is anyone out there who has an interest in computers, or would like to learn please contact us!

For anyone who was unable to make it to the mercado yesterday and that would like to donate their computer or enquire about helping at our workshop in Arboleas please check out the links to our websites below where you will find full information, addresses and contact details.   :08:

Hi all,  :051bye:
Albox computer club meet weekly in the salon at back of la Parrilla in Albox every Friday at about 10:15 until 12:30 (however not Friday 12th May due to the floor being re-tiled) We have just had our first talk on Ipads with more to come on iphones in the forthcoming weeks. Also on the schedule will be how to tidy your files, downloading Music, where you can store it and then where you can play it! The list of planned talks is endless!  :c029: We usually plan talks for 3 weeks then save one week for members hands on help if they need it. This helps to keep everybody up to date. If you would like to learn more please check out our websites. That is Albox computer club website, and our PIRdA website. Details are below.  PIRdA which is - Proyecto Informatica reclicada de Arboleas (computer recycling project). We accept donations of old, broken or out-dated computers. Then we refurbish them and donate them to worthy causes.

Albox computer club is registered as a non-profit making association with the Junta de Andalucía, registration number 4955. Our linked association is PIRdA. (Proyecto Informatica Reciclado de Arboleas). We accept donations of all your old, broken or out-dated computers or computer related equipment, refurbish them and then donate them to worthy causes. We have donated some 60 computers in the past year alone.

The ayuntamiento de Zurgena have kindly given PIRdA a stall in the mercado primavera in gratitude after PIRdA donated and installed 7 computers in the biblioteca de Zurgena. The market is at the back of the old renfe building in Alfoquía tomorrow from 10 until 8. PIRdA will be there all day and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We will be accepting donations on the day from anyone who has an old computer they no longer want. Sometimes we have to purchase replacement parts in order to refurbish a computer. To that end, we are also very grateful for any cash donations we receive.  :You_Rock_Emoticon:
