Calling all amateur and professional photographers! The department of Tourism of the Town Hall of Albox in collaboration with the cultural association, Somos Albojenses, announces that the entry period for the submission of  works for the "Almond in Blossom Photography Competition", where you will have an opportunity to win up to 170€ in prizes, is open from 10th February to 15th March.

RULES FOR THE  FLOR DEL ALMENDRO (ALMOND IN BLOSSOM) COMPETITION ALBOX– 2017
FIRST.- OBJECTIVE
To promote the environment and landscape of Almeria, where the almond blossom appears, as a tourist resource.

SECOND.- PARTICIPANTS
The competition is open to amateurs and professionals of all nationalities. Each competitor may submit a maximum of three original works that have not received a prize in any other competition.

THIRD – THEME
The photographs must be based on the theme of "Almond Blossom in Flower" during the month of February and March and should be taken within the municipality of Albox, including the routes covered by the IX walking trail in Albox dedicated to the Almond in Blossom.

FOURTH Quality of the photographs: The photographs can be in B/W or color, with a minimum resolution of 8 megapixels (3264 px high by 2448 pixels wide). Post processing retouches are permitted.  Any alterations of montages are excluded.

FIFTH: HOW TO SUBMIT PHOTOGRAPHS:
An email for each photograph shall be sent to:  somosalbojenses1@gmail.com  with the title: "Concurso flor almendro" with a maximum of three photographs per contestant. The text of the email should contain the following information :
Title of Photograph:
Taken by:
With  N.I.E:
E-mail and telephone number:
Description of where the photograph was taken:
In case the photograph loses quality when sent via email, the competitor can send a CD with the photographs to the address provided.
Closing date for the submission of photographs via email : 15th March 2017 at 15.00.


SIXTH PRIZES 
The prizes will be awarded to the accredited competitor.
– 1st prize 100 €
- 2nd prize :50 €
- 3rd prize: 20 €

SEVENTH.- VOTING SYSTEM
There will be no jury as such given that there will be a public vote via FACEBOOK using the following procedure:
•   Participating photographs are submitted via individual emails prior to the 15th March.
•   The organizers will publish the photographs in the facebook account Flor Almendro Almeria on 16th March, when the "likes" can commence.
•   The winning photographs will be the ones that gain the most "likes". Please note that the only  "likes" that will be counted are the ones that appear against the photograph published in the Facebook page Flor Almendro Almeria. For the "like" to be valid you must click on the original image and like the photograph. Likes marked against shared images of the photograph will not be counted.

EIGHT:  DECISION OF THE JURY
The final date and time for voting via Facebook is 3rd April at 12:00. The organizers will publish the winning photograph immediately after this time and via the medium used for voting, Facebook. The prize giving will take place in the Town Hall of Albox on the 7th April.

NINTH.- ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES OF PARTICIPATION
Entry to the competition entails that the entrant knows and accepts the rules, that they are the author of the photographs submitted, and in consequence, are not subject to the copyright of other persons or companies, and the the Organizers of the Competition are authorized to exhibit and/or publish the photographs at a later date, acknowledging the author, whether or not the photograph is awarded in the competition.
