Popped in here one lunchtime to sample the tapas and enjoyed it so much that we ended up booking a table for dinner the following night. Maria and her assistant/chef really did us proud - I ordered a pork steak which was cooked to perfection, my partner had bacala (cod) also cooked to perfection and - both were served with an excellent selection of veg. There was also a huge complementary salad starter.
Great to have another dining option in the village.
We'll also be returning - more than likely in the very near future!

We went in tonight after the (excellent) Theatre production in Zurgena.

Went in for a drink, saw the food being eaten by the many Spaniards enjoying, and asked if we could have some tapas.

We were asked if we fancied meat, after which we recieved three platters of superbly cooked meats.

Four of us, €24 (including drinks) - and we were stuffed.

Brilliant - it took us back to the good old days of Anne and later Hugo.

Good luck to them.

Popped into the newly re-opened Bar El Local in La Alfoquia last night and was pleased to see Maria & Pedro (formerly Bar Trinidad) are the new owners.

Fresh Tapas is served and a menu which will be changed daily is also on offer.

Great decor inside and a nice friendly atmosphere, will be going back.
