Is the worm turning? here's an interesting read, direct from a chief remoaner and doom monger, oh!!! and head of the BOE. 72

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-38582690

Carney was not a remainer. He was warning of potential negative implications of exiting the EU in particular financial instability. That is his job.
Carney is a remoaner Imj, I never said remainer. 96 He probably can't even vote in the UK, but he can utter a sentence that can change the value of the Pound. 72

Webs I was trying to be polite. You insist on using silly comments as do others like"poisoned dwarf" etc. I thought we were grown ups. Carney took action to bolster the . Uk government probably wants the to be devalued. They don't have a clue.

To be fair to Doc Mark,he has done a good job,if he had have been clue less like the bone heads running the tory asylum, the uk could have been right in the snit, fair play to the bloke and he probably has more brains than a small uk brexiteer town.

Tets,
You're a baby boomer too !  93 93

We are all to blame cos we got off our bums, worked hard, paid taxes, brought up our kids without relying on other people, expected nothing from anybody else, paid mortgages at 15% interest, managed perfectly OK without mobile phones, laptops, computer games , etc etc etc. So what do us baby boomers know ? And the fact that many pensioners pay tax can be totally disregarded !  93

Quite right Webe, on reaching the age of 70 , we should all be put down.  57

That will give the younger generations a chance to see how well they can do.  57

The difference is we can also charge tariffs on the trade from the EU to the UK which is more that we export to the EU so UK would be the winners. Also we can't charge the EU 350 million each week!

That was a rhetorical question. The UK benefits from no trade tariffs with the EU but oddly has to pay a fee of 350 million a week for it.
I'm well aware of the balance of trade deficit which (using common sense) would dictate that the EU should strike a deal. However if they do then everyone will want the same so end of club......
A political farce and fudge in the making

Bloody Hell Roger it says the price of olive oil is on the increase due to the bad weather and Brexit. How will all the Corbynistas in Islington survive. Must remember to tell my man in Cantoria to put his prices up. He had been selling it at the same price for the last 14 years.

Does anyone else think that the Independent looks more like the Beano these days? There's an article in there comparing the vote to leave the EU to the Russian Revolution. WTF.
Frankly the media are spiralling into a black hole of fake news, 'what if' and imagineering.
The political elite and those who feel entitled to lead are still in shock; their little empires crashing down, they are scrambling to find purchase, to restore their 'Stepford' existence. The 'champagne socialists' have gone underground and the bumbling socialists are making fools of themselves.
It's refreshing; perhaps at last Joe Public will learn to treat what the media report with the largest pinch of salt.
Whatever happened to reporting actual news instead of speculation. Can you imagine on the BBC, it's time for the 9 o clock Speculation.

Fing is,yer dont need the media to understand, that if yer a partner in an enterprize and you leave..... its going to cost,we have had a great leg pull on here for weeks, most of it been banter,ALL  uk citizens will feel the changes directly once the UK has been OUT  for a couple of years good or bad.

the start of the UK FEEL,could be a bank rate rise in the next 24 months, this will deffinatly turn the screw on familys just managing and buy to let landlords whom are nearly bracking even now, without rate rises or rents dropping because EU  cits no longer see the UK  as the deal.

no doubt there will be people sat back now with a stack of money waiting to make some gain out of the UK  IN-OUT punters re adjustment.

intresting times  .

But Joe Public believed everything the paper press were saying about the EU prior to Brexit. Hence the result to leave. So they cn pick and choose whatb they want to believe. As to fake news that is a Trumpism that he dreamed up during his campaign to hide much of the untruths he was spouting.

Sadly  this is correct, one of my biggest shocks,is how people have been taken in......my father was a fitter, nice old lad,but the daily express used to set his mind set for the day.......

basikly education and knoladge would make polatics impossible and the punters un controlable, the system mutch prefers to put a person into an underpayed menial  job renting or buying over priced accomadation....its the modern work house and keeps people in check and controlled-

your a bright lad Phil, what are you expecting the UK / EU  deal to be by 2020
