Agree Tet's, the only people to profit  are the corporates and the bankers.

Webe I think Corbyn is simply asking what's the point of bombing, nothing will be gained millions of pounds and lives wasted, and and no exit strategy  or end game plans have even been discussed as to what happens  in the vacuum created, so I'm  guessing UK military and others will be in Syria for a decade to keep the peace between the various tribes.

zilnor

However bad it may be in the West it is much better than life under ISIS. A did some research :
ISIS has three main ideas :

1. The rejection of modern Islamic tolerance for Christians and Jews.

2. The rejection of secular ideologies . Democracy in particular is despised. It allows people to shape policies and pass laws, ignoring "unalterable" laws codified in Islamic Sharia law.

3. The rejection of "diluted" forms of Islam, eg, Muslims who claim Islam is a religion of peace are not considered true Muslims. For ISIS, Islam will only be a religion of peace after it has taken control of the world.

ISIS puts strong emphasis on the Apocalypse, the imminent end of the world. It is not so hard to risk your life in battle or strap on a suicide vest if you believe you are fighting in the last battle before the end of the world, where eternal glory awaits all true believers.

Looks like the Apocalyose is not too far away, as Webe says, Godelpusnsaveus.

Fing is.......

the master plan,is for the USA,China,USSR, & the Finance folks....... to carve the world up.....and rule it.......if a few mill gets slaughtered here and there, as long as  there not world leaders kids.... folks is expendable as it only takes 18 years and 9 months to bring more fodder in,to replace the lost.

this is why education & housing is so expensive, they dont like threats to the system,ie a load of educated types running around questioning policys with paid housing and no state, system hold..............they like it controlable... everybody renting & buying over priced housing on 8 quid an hour working 7 months of the year just to pay there taxes.....

right, pink floyd time !

Webe.  Spot on. Where has the hand clap thingy gone ?
The Middle East is their excuse to wage war on us. As you say, they want world domination.  And they are slowly winning, due to PC and "don't offend the Muslims " attitude , which is appearing everywhere

The trouble with Corbyn's approach, is that he believes that if the UK keep out of it, it's all gonna go away. This ISIS mob will attack us in the UK whether we bomb them or not in Syria. Their agenda is not to rid us from the middle east as many would think, it's a world wide agenda. Look what's happening in much of Asia and Africa, we don't need a pencil to work it out, do we?
Ken Livingstone is just as naïve, saying he could see why 7/7 happened, why "those boys gave their lives"  blew themselves and all the innocents up. He really ought to think about what he says. I used to have a certain regard for old Ken, but it's time he jacked it in I think.

It will never change unless the voters elect someone who will go against the system.
But they won't.

We had Tony Benn and now Corbyn.
The media conduct a distorted campaign against anyone who will rock the boat, because THEY will be the people in the water, along with the rest of us.

So they buy the electorate off with cheap electronic toys and instill fear that any change will create chaos.

"1984" was very prophetic.

Roger, so maybe freedom of the press is not such a good thing. They have used their power for years like you say, to have a go at anyone who will rock the boat. Is it really any different to censorship ?

Look, you people just don't get it, do you. If gov.uk start asking and demanding the Sheiks stop funding the likes of ISIS, then the Sheiks won't buy any fighter planes from the fat cat plane makers, same goes for all the other armaments they buy. The Sheiks won't send their Sheiky kids to school in the UK and spend millions on their education, and they won't be allowed to rip around London's thoroughfares in their Veneno roadsters at 200 mph without ever getting nicked, even though old Bill know they're at it. Important people, like politicians, Lords, Ladies and the rest of the elite won't get their little good will gesture every year. Many corporate fat cats would notice a drop in the billions they rake in from flogging sand to the Sheiks. The reasons go on, but you can't change it, why should you, you're just a pleb and don't count. Everyone should learn to take there place in society and stay there, the truth was invented by the elite, only to be applied to the plebs.

Mornin all, gotta fill me car up :tiphat:

Then what's the point in even talking about these problems? It is quite scary how most people don't know the facts you've stated, but as my brother says, "it's always fun to screw the sheeps' head up a little bit".
How long do the common folk actually think we've got left on this planet anyway? The only way to make it longer is to change. Even though it won't happen; Rage Against The Machine all the way I say. ¡Sí se puede!
Your brother shouldn't be messin with the sheeps head in such a manner, old Cameron might just think it's another good idea ;)

Even better Rod, this refined oil is being sold on to you, me and everyone else. You really couldn't  make this grubby little affair.

Rod

It seems Turkey buy their oil from ISIS.

Challenger 383

Oh yes someone  has mentioned isis funding......No less than Paddy Ashdown,  has publicly  accused  the tory party of their links with rich Arab states and this hindrance is a huge problem in the fight against  isis.  He seems to have ruffled lots of people's feathers  with his comments. Nice One Paddy.

languagesolutions

Maybe I read things too quick, but has nobody mentioned stop financing ISIS? That along with intelligence and groung intervention would get rid of them in no time at all, save millions of euros/pounds and civil lives too.
Regarding the different parties involved, they're all little boys fighting in the playground; pathetic little terrorists fighting to prove their point...a disgrace as usual.

webejamin

I've been watching her lately and she seems to get lower and lower as she speaks. She gets down sideways in a chair and her head nearly sinks down into her body, almost like she's hoping nobody can see her. No sorry, the world has changed since these ban the bum people first got into politics. Great if they can create peace by being peaceful, but I just can't see it.
No byrney, it wasn't Ben having a punch-up :tiphat:

byrney

I am sure there will be no pressure on MPs to toe the Party line.

I've seen Dianne Abbott in action. She's such a pussy cat. Purrr.

byrney

"then one boy got a free punch at those he'd been fighting" - wasn't "our" Ben was it?  Like grandfather, like grandson, eh?...

webejamin

Seems he's demanding a bit of a party policy on the subject though. See, I don't mind a peace seeking gov.uk, in fact it's an admirable stance, but when all others are in a belligerent stance we can only end up getting our arse kicked, turning the other cheek is fine if you want another fat lip.
I watched a football match yesterday, where a punch-up ensued, the ref told em to break it up and they all put their dukes down after agreeing to cease fighting, then one boy got a free punch at those he'd been fighting, little b~#@a#d :o
So yes, talk peace, but keep yer dukes up :tiphat:

Spadge

Corbyn is allowing a free vote it seems, there is nothing free in this world  ;)

Yer getting Commies and socialists mixed up again byrney  ;D

"It always amazed me how, on the day the USSR ceased to be an old guard communist state, so many billionaires emerged with more personal money than you could shake a stick at" - huh?

I thought the whole idea of Communism / Socialism was that everybody was dragged down to the same level (errr, I mean treated the same)?.......

webejamin

Said that a while back Tetley, the only way is on the ground, big circle, shut em in then just wait.
I don't trust Putin, he aint a nice little pussy cat and he's ex KGB. It always amazed me how, on the day the USSR ceased to be an old guard communist state, so many billionaires emerged with more personal money than you could shake a stick at. A Russian bloke I used to know, walked out with the huge heavy lift aircraft he flew over Afghanistan, still with the gun bubbles on it and used it commercially around the world.

Be a good Idea if we give the UK to Spain as a swap for the Canaries or summink. :tiphat:

Fing is Jamms, this RAFFA place is abought 1900 km2,ie approx half the size of Essex, i carnt belive there is anything left to bomb after weeks of air strikes   ,so  more air stikes is going to jack shirack....

if the yanks, french, saudies, brits, irans, russia wants to sort it.... there going to have to go in in force on the ground as these barmy bxggxers thats running the job in Raffa in  there callifi state will all be tucked up underground.... alive wile the bombs is flying....

Fing is though Tetley, some of those Labour MPs will be voting against their own, voted for, policies. I'm not advocating either stance, just pointing out how a political party can evolve into something the electorate didn't want it to. In a general or local election, most voters are not party members and the next time they vote they may vote differently, much to the surprise of all concerned :tiphat:

webejamin the perplexed ???

CT

It's not necessary to have a vote in the Commons, it's simply Cameron covering his back. The Commons
can't be consulted over every minor detail of military action it just wouldn't be possible.

Tetley

Carbines right........ this is the whole point of..... new non Tory Labour party .... a diffrent veiw.  :tiphat:

Yeah I know that Rod, but it's the old propaganda machine being rolled out innit. On RT it's the exact opposite and the US is seen as the bogie man, I don't know if there's a similar TV programme by the US being broadcast from Moscow? or even if Putin would allow it, like RT in New York ???.

Rod

Well known that Russia is bombing in supporting Assad, not targeting ISIS in particular, just anyone, anywhere in Syria who is against Assad
