I am thinking of upgrading my Minix 8H to a Minix U9-H as the old Minix is unable to use Kodi 17.6 and the old versions are not doing too well on it. Anyone got one of these boxes? Maybe Andy (Old Birchy) could give his opinion on this box if he has one. Thanks Rod

You do NOT need Kodi 17.6! Therefore no need to change boxes yet. Kodi 17.6 will only run on android 5 and above and your box is 4.4. much hype was created around this with advice being given to ditch the old box. This was based on 2 reasons
First, many sources were moving to a file format that older versions of Kodi could not play.
Second, it was found that there were some security issues on older versions.
These two issues were addressed by the clever chaps at at Freaktab adapted Kodi 16.3 and produced a version,(fork) of Kodi called FTMC. If you Google it you can find the download
I run it without problem on my Minix X7 and I actually prefer it to Kodi 17.6!
If you really want a new box the U9 is a beast but very expensive.
