Back in the day, to use an old saying, we had a residency near Pic. Circus so got a lot of tourists in each night. The Japanese were ALWAYS coming up to request 'Drum Battle'...luckily our bass player could bash a skin or two so we usually obliged. Lot of beer came our way those nights (and the occasional very pretty Japanese girl wanting to spend time with a "real" European rock star.
BTW my personal fave drum duets tend to be the older guys like Ric, Krupa, Belsson etc. Some of those old clips on YouTube are truly jaw-dropping.
