Would any of you happen to know where I can get hold of a v8 engine (points), gearbox and propshaft?
Also, anyone locally who would carry out this conversion on an old Consul.

Could be very expensive for you. You would need to revamp the rear end to get the power on the road and then you have to get it to stop when you want. Then you would have a hot rod, not a classic. You can put a Rover V8 in an MGB and get the parts off the shelf

Thanks for your reply, I've been quoted 3500 al in, but that's in Murcia and want more local.
